Just a question
I thought this is a template for all active WWE Superstars on all three shows, not just performers who are active wrestlers. --Preceding unsigned comment added by Five spice tofu (talk o contribs) 08:09, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Active/Inactive talent
So apparently they are listed by "on-screen status." This should be noted somewhere on the template or a clarification should be made about this, as DH Smith (for instance) has been inactive both on screen (and off, actually) yet remains listed as active, while Chavo has been actively wrestling house shows yet is listed as inactive (and last time I checked, the TV part of the business is not the whole business - and WWE's most recent financial reports can attest to the importance of non-televised live events). Either way, there is an inconsistency that should be addressed. --Edward Morgan Blake (talk) 10:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
as far as i'm aware DH Smith is listed under inactive. Skitzo (talk) 11:26, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Split?
Seeing as this is a pretty bloated template, it seems logical to me to split it up into 3 separate templates; one for each brand. Thoughts?Hezekiah957 (talk) 22:49, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Steve Austin.
Austin is still on the roster. There is no reason to remove him from the template. I have put him back on it. -- Kevin Browning (talk) 03:43, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
he may be on the roster but he only makes "special" appearences, they leave him on WWE.com so when people google him it links to their site, unless he comes back full time leave him off.Skitzo (talk) 17:04, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Austin is not under contract, except MAYBE a films deal, DO NOT ADD him he is on the roster page under "other personel" or something like that he doesn't not need to be on the template as he DOES NOT WRESTLE, persisting in adding him COULD be seen as vandalism. Skitzo (talk) 18:25, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes they can they did it for years with The Rock and Hogan, he probably has a kegends contract and is working with their films department, HE IS NOT UNDER A WRESTLING CONTRACT WITH THE WWE OR ANYONE ELSE. He is under "other personnel on the roster page on here, which is how we update the template, and it would be vandalism when the vast majority agree 1 thing and ONE person keeps doing something different. Skitzo (talk) 18:41, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Mike Adamle
Why is Mike Adamle on the roster if he's a reporter. Bam123456789 (talk) 21:17, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Same about Jon Ross and Jerry lawler. Bam123456789 (talk) 21:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
But why aren't all the wwe roster on there. Bam123456789 (talk) 21:11, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Alphatbetical Order
Are the wrestlers supposed to be sorted by last name or by first name? The Raw list in particular is all over the place with that. Beth Phoenix under B for Beth, but Lance Cade under C for Cade, for example. McJeff (talk) 21:25, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

The Brian Kendrick
There is no reason to overlink his name. The [[Briand Kendrick]] is the SAME INFO as [[Brian Kendrick|The Brian Kendrick]] except it takes up less space. I will point out Road Warriors and New Age Outlaws as similar articles where you always say "The" before them but leave them out of the link. Please discuss here rather than just putting it back in the article. TJ Spyke 21:16, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
LThe Brian Kendrick is his official ring name though. It's no actual difficulty to have the word 'The' included in the link, and it looks more correct, as the rest of the roster doesn't have parts of their name un-linked. Besides, the Road Warrior part is a stupid argument. The emphasis of his name is THE Brian Kendrick. The word 'The' was not emphasized in the Road Warriors. FOr that matter, The Big Show is fully linked and the word 'The' isn't even on his WWE.Com profile. I'm re-linking the word 'The' and it should remain that way. --Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.246.53.163 (talk) 05:33, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Other?
Remove the "Other" section. if we really need an "Other" section, than we would have to pile every single non wrestler not assigned to a brand. so this "Other" section needs to go. --Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.17.130.13 (talk) 19:15, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Hurrican Helms
His TitanTron video says "Hurricane Helms". His on-screen graphic says "Hurricane Helms". Tony Chimel announced him as "Hurricane Helms". Matt Striker and Josh Mathews called him "Hurricane Helms". His ringname is Hurricane Helms, end of story. A compromise was put in until Truco reverted for no good reason. At most both Hurricane Helms are The Hurricane are used, but no intelligent person can say Hurricane Helms isn't one of his current ringnames. TJ Spyke 22:19, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
FCW
Just putting this here in case the IP bothers to check. There is no more DJ Gabriel. After he was sent back down to FCW over 4 months ago (which means he should not be listed on the SmackDown roster), he started dropping it. On the July 2 episode of FCW, he started wrestling as just "Gabriel" and said he wanted to get back to the basics. There is also no source that Brett DiBiase is a member of the Raw roster. Just appearing in 2 backstage promos (of which he has about 2 sentences combined) doesn't mean he will be a member. Developmental wrestlers appear on WWE TV frequently without being called up to the main roster. TJ Spyke 21:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Ruthless Roundtable Stable?
On WWE TV, William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov have formed an alliance which has been referred to as the "Ruthless Roundtable", should this be added to the Stables and Alliance section or is it to soon? --86.171.233.198 (talk) 00:47, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Commentators and On-Screen Authorities
Can we move the commentators and on-screen authorities as a seperate part of the template instead of being apart of the shows they're on?--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 19:22, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Well, I thought it will be simple just to have them in their own catagory because in 2008, they swapped JR and Cole, and recently as late 2009 with Vickie coming back as SD's consultant.--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 19:34, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Montel Vontavious Porter/MVP
I think it's better to have MVP as Montel Vontavious Porter, since it's the full ring name.--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 02:13, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Free Agents

I read somewhere that Sin Cara might be heading to Raw. If it's ok, can we move him to the Raw roster? If not, should we wait until an official date is announced?--Mikeymike2001 (talk) 03:42, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Colors
Who added these colors? They are blinding. The other WWE templates don't have color and don't need it to reflect their purpose. --Truco 503 17:37, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
There is nothing wrong with the colors.
This is no different than sports team templates that are done in their colors.

Consensus for changing colors?
Ok, since vjm is deciding that there's nothing wrong with the colors that he chose, I am going to put it up for a consensus discussion here.
- Strong Support (as nominator) the original colors. ArcAngel (talk) ) 13:31, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
-Those colours are attrocious, and whoever changed them should feel ashamed of themselves. zzz (talk) 14:48, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
I do not feel comfortable either. The default ones were good. WWEJobber (talk) 15:51, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
I however, fell extremely comfortable. They spice things up a bit, and the colors have purpose (Raw = red, SD = blue, etc.. Vjmlhds 18:57, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
I've modified things a bit.
I'm using a white background instead of black. It's simple, and makes the colors "pop" more.
Vjmlhds 19:11, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
I don't really understand why people are having coniptions over this.
I added the colors because:
1. It follows the policy of sports team templates that are done in their repective colors (ex. The Lakers templates are all purple and gold, the Celtics templates are green and white, etc.) Same deal here--Raw in Red, SD in Blue, etc.
2. It dresses up a blase template. It doesn't affect the content any, it's just for looks.
So I repeat--What's the reason for the hair pulling? (And don't just say "I don't like it"--give me logical reasons, or else you're just whisting Dixie).
Vjmlhds 04:43, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
That is a very weak arguement. There other "non-sports" templates Look at McDonalds for example. They're in red and yellow, which are their colors (on the golden arches sign).
Vjmlhds 15:07, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Agree with Mikey's arguement. STATic message me! 23:37, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Remove the colors per WP:Deviations. We should be using colors set by MediaWiki:Common.css, and not overriding them here, per guidelines at WP:Accessibility. Plastikspork -OE(talk) 01:32, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
- Default colours should be used; whatever {{navbox}} defaults to. this version is appropriate, per wp:deviations. 125.162.150.88 (talk) 03:23, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
I give up.
You wanna keep the default colors, keep 'em.
If that will get this thing unlocked, so we can actually update information, then so be it.
I stand down, the fight is over.
Though a lot of y'all really made a mountain out of a mole hill here.

Remember the draft
To those it may concern...
In roughly 24 hours, WWE will have it's draft.
There's gonna be a bunch of people switching from Raw to SD and vice versa.
So the template is going to have to updated to reflect those changes.
This is a content matter, and has nothing to do with the current discussion about colors.
Just a heads up.

Let's get this thing unlocked.
The colors are irrelevant. If y'all rather keep the default settings, then Mazel Tov, you got it.
The more important matter is updating it to reflect the draft.

Paul Bearer & Stables & Tag Teams
You guys need to put Paul Bearer under the WWE Legends category as he just reported that he has signed a new 5-year contract w/ an option for a 6th, and one more thing; under stables & tag teams you don't have "The Corre" listed probably because there ins't a page for it. They've been around for a while so someone should jump on that, I would but I can't. As a matter of fact, since you guy are so professional and have everything under categories I would add a Stables & tag Teams section too. Ok guys thanks.

Rearrangement of listing
I have rearranged the listing of the article to Raw / Smackdown / NXT / WWE Legends / Stables and tag teams / Tough Enough / Commentators / Referees and WWE En Español / Unassigned employees / FCW. Mikeymike2001 doesn't seem to agree. Why? The current one is Raw / SmackDown / WWE Legends / NXT / Commentators / Tough Enough / FCW / Referees and WWE En Español / Unassigned employees / Stables and Tag teams.
Here's my rationale: There are three main categories: WWE "cast", WWE "crew" and FCW. FCW should be last. FCW is the developmental territory for WWE and nobody in that category appears on WWE programming at all, therefore it should be last. Now, regarding "cast" and "crew". "Cast", the wrestlers, go first. "Crew", go second. Who are the wrestlers, the cast? Raw / SmackDown / NXT / WWE Legends / Stables and tag teams. Arrange them however you want, but these five cagetories have to be first. Who's the crew? Tough Enough hosts / Commentators / Referees / Unassigned employees. Tough Enough participants though, seem to be "cast", but they're in a separate universe anyway from Raw / SmackDown, so Tough Enough just becomes the first category after the first five.
Therefore I will be rearranging the listing to reflect "cast", then "crew", then "FCW". Starship.paint (talk) 02:20, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Merge the Raw/SD/NXT/Multibranded sections?
I propose merging the Raw/SD/NXT/Multibranded sections. Given the virtual end of the brand split where upper-card wrestlers from any brand appear on both Raw/SD as they wish, whereas lower-card wrestlers don't even appear on Raw/SD but on NXT/Superstars and also given that even WWE (through its newest version of its website) doesn't even bother to track which wrestler belongs to which brand, I propose we simply merge the sections.
Also, can we separate the commentators/announcers/hosts from the wrestlers... just like we separate the Spanish commentators and the referees? Starship.paint (talk) 08:11, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Major changes
Before making major wholesale changes to the template, please discuss them here and try to reach a consenus.
Judging by the dates these major changes started occuring, to the naked eye they kinda look like sour grapes edits after a consensus went against somebody on the main page.
I could be wrong, but certain things just didn't look right.
Vjmlhds 20:39, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
OK...let's do this by the book.
Does anybody agree with the changes Jobber made to the template?
Put me down for no. Vjmlhds 01:16, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
OK, Jobber...you just erased this out of spite. Erasing requests for consensus just shows you don't want to play the the rules, and would rather just bulldoze your POV through here. Vjmlhds 01:50, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I agree with you but in fact she is not just a former TE trainer. She appears on WWE TV programs on a constant basis just like Roddy Piper, Mae Young and Ron Simmons, for example. Citing the last appearances that I can remember: April 3, 2011 Raw; June 6, 2011 Raw; September 16, 2011 SmackDown; July 23, 2012 Raw (without mention all of her appearances from Elimination Chamber 2011 to WrestleMania XXVII because of her angle with Snookie). NXT
Since when are Percy Watson and Derrick Bateman on the main roster? If you don't mind, they should be removed.78.148.100.19 (talk) 03:41, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
I checked again, WWE.com does not list them as CURRENT ROSTER but they appear under ALL SUPERSTARS. Certainly a level of ambiguity. Watson I'm leaning towards developmental because since the end of the "main roster" NXT Redemption, he has wholly wrestled on the developmental WWE NXT. A case for Bateman is that he's wrestled on Saturday Morning Slam versus Cesaro and Superstars since the end of NXT Redemption. Starship.paint (talk) 08:26, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
